kind of first day
ok. 1st day of work. kind of.
well, the thing is my work permit is not ready yet! ha. but its not something that needs drastic measures (read: like berlin last year with the residence permit) and it would be rectified by next week (hopefully). so meanwhile, i get the week off (aka start work one week later) and take the time to search for an accomodation. i took the train to work today and it was murder! the amount of time i spent travelling is astonishing.
I so have to find a place because i cannot travel like this back and forth. And although my boss said that she will give me a lift to work, now she is on a 3 day holiday. so i'm always dependent on others and i would much rather be a master (mistress) of my own time.
ok. on to work! its supermegatoll! the whole production process is seriously one of the most complex thing i have ever seen. and amazing and mesmerizing. Anything more complex is probably how they manufacture BMWs in the Bavarian plant. And i saw the BMW vid for that in DFMA class and this one they have at Nike is world class. ha, oh look at me waxing lyrical at mechanized processes. but today was like ohmygod, information overload BIG TIME. all these abbreviations and terms and all that. well, ok, it would get better i suppose.
and the people in my department are all very nice and super friendly! and its so relaxed- people literally go to work in t-shirts, jeans and track shoes. so after work i went to look at the appartments near there and saw some nice ones! and then after like more than 12 hours out of the house, i reached home.
AND I SAW SARAH on sunday! after all this time! i was so happy! and so was she and it was just like we never not saw each other for 1 year. and i'll see Xaris soon and hopefully the rest too! Faidra, Louisa, Giannis, Aurore, Clement, Juan!
oh. i need a bicycle.
and i bought a whole load of turkish food: olives, and various other vegetables in olive oil, couscous and feta that will last me the week. i'm so gonna die on a diet of cheese, pasta and bread.
that's why i need a bicycle.
